THE CREOLE HERITAGE
EXPERIENCE

Category: Brands & Campaigns /// Events & Experiences

Project Details:

A salon evening honoring lineage, land, and legacy.

Houston is the 4th largest city in the United States and one of the most diverse cities in
the world, with more than 145 languages spoken. Its diversity has made it a global cultural force,
shaping music, food, and art across continents through artists like Beyoncé, Solange Knowles,
and Robert Glasper.

At the heart of this cultural landscape sits Third Ward sacred grounds that have cultivated
generations of artists, athletes, educators, and civic leaders, from Debbie Allen and
Phylicia Rashad to Hakeem Olajuwon, Barbara Jordan, and John Biggers.

Within Third Ward stands The Riverside, a boutique hotel rooted in this lineage. It is
anchored by Augustine’s, where Houston’s Creole heritage continues to evolve through food,
conversation, and shared experience.
